It's July but Happy New Year all the same!

Happy New Year!

Yes, I know what you are thinking; that I probably had too much to drink this weekend and had all the dates in my mind messed up. No ladies and gentlemen. It’s true I did drink a lot this weekend, just like any other day anyway, but the strongest drink I indulge in is coffee, and my favorite is a lot of water. And yes I do know today is 3rd July 2016.

It's just delayed, not denied

For the last couple of weeks, I’ve found myself inadvertently writing about dreams and goals. This being the last Sunday of the 2nd quarter of the year, I thought I should continue on the same subject so that we can all be mentally prepared to face the second half of the year. I don’t know about you but I can tell you I do need some motivation right now and hopefully, this article will do exactly that.

Work your dreams

Everyone of us has a dream or a goal. But do you ever wonder why not everyone of us achieves that goal? The key to achieving any dream you have in life is to go out and work your dream. No dream will ever come to pass unless you work towards making sure it does.

Want to see your dream coming true? Make a plan and work that plan every day until you realize your dream.

Dare to Dream

Remember the story I shared with you last week about a boy called Monty Roberts and what he went through when he was a kid at the hands of his teacher? If you didn’t get a chance to read it, then you’d better look for last week’s Guardian on Sunday, or you can check out the story here.  The reason I’m telling you to look it up is because today’s post has a co-relation to that one and so if you didn’t read the previous one you might not quite get the full picture of the message I want to share with you.

You can Keep the "F"....

A few years ago, I had an experience with my two older children that left me somewhat puzzled. You see, they were in one of these international schools in Dar Es Salaam that offer great opportunities for children.

Bulk Baggage

Countdown to my flight has reached to T-18 hours. I am yet to pack and as it is, I don’t even know what I will be packing for this trip because guess what, am on my way from another trip and I’m yet to get home. This can only mean one thing: another short night for me. Why is it that the night before I travel I always find myself sleeping late? What really happens to time?

Forget the Past

If you have ever experienced failure, then you know how hard it is to get rid of the fear of failure and start all over again. Like a wounded dog, you will often find yourself going back to that wound and licking it over and over again, not knowing that sometimes by so doing, you are making it harder and harder to heal.
