Identity Crisis

The internet is full of funny stuff, things that can cause one to laugh till your ribs hurt like someone gave you a kick. With the emergence of social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, etc., sharing of such stuff has become very easy especially now that almost every other person has a smartphone and internet bundles to compliment the phone. Besides, almost every office and up-market restaurant you go to now has free Wi-Fi.

The Rebirth

February is normally a very special month to me, and before you start thinking its because of Valentine’s day, please be informed that this is not one of the reasons why the month is special. February is special to me because besides being the only month with inconsistent days, it also happens to be the month that I was born in. It also is the month my first born son, my only sister and my Mom were born in.

When you are not sure who you are

Every so often we go through stuff in life, either knowingly or unknowingly, that affect our identity, bringing in lots of insecurity to us. Sometimes we might not even know about them but the moment we become aware of them, then it becomes a problem right there.

Here below I have shared with you two sides of a story that you must have read severally before. Read them to the end and think about the lessons presented in them.

Defying All Odds

It is sad how people go about life clueless and purposeless, forgetting that there is no way they could have been created if there was no purpose for them to fulfil. I know I have said this several times before but as I was thinking of what to share with my readers this week I was compelled to remind us all about living a purpose-led life, a life where you wake up in the morning not because your neighbor’s cockerel woke you up, but because you are so in tune with your purpose that even before your iPhone alarm goes off, your own internal alarm wakes you up at 3:30am.

Why your resolution should be being a Vegetarian in the year 2016

Happy New Year to you all. I thank God for giving us all another opportunity to do life right.

For many, this is a time for reflections and strategy making, a time when you review the year that passed and evaluate the quality of life you had vis-a-vis what you could have had, and why the difference. This is a time where you draw up a to-do-list and a not-to-do-list which is probably longer than the to-do-list. Whatever the case, whether you choose to accept it or not, the dates have changed and instead of 2015 you will now be writing 2016.

Got a Dream?

When you see people walking on the streets, it is very easy to judge them based on how they look. It is very easy to rule them out based on how bad they are dressed, or to quickly accept them based on their ability to pack sentences. In short, it is very easy to quickly judge a person by their outward appearance as opposed spending time with them to try and really know who the person behind the outward appearance is.

Peace or Pieces?

It is inevitably that time of the season again when we experience little pockets of “madness” as a result of an animal we call politics. I confidently call it madness because according to an online dictionary I use, one of the definitions of madness is “a state of frenzied or chaotic activity” that is only experienced when certain activities are going on.

Of Smart Persistence

I have to admit, there are times when even I feel like just throwing in the towel and giving up. Times when uncertainty hits me and I feel like not even my daily dose of motivation will make a difference to me. You know why this is so? Because before I am anything else, I am human first. I do get my lapses, I do get my “human-attacks”, I fear and panic like everyone else.

Spelling of Love

Before I finally decided to put my thoughts into words this week, I was divided between writing this article and three others that were bubbling inside of me. Not sure why but this one won the day and so I hope there’s someone out there who will really benefit and be inspired by the words they are about to read.
