From Unknown To Unmissable
Soโฆ last week, I promised to share what happened when an unexpected opportunity knocked on my doorโor rather, slid into my inboxโthanks to the blog I had started way back in 2011.
Itโs easy to think satisfaction comes from getting what you want.
That dream job. That bigger space. That recognition you've worked so hard for.
And yes, those things are good. Necessary, even.
But over time, Iโve learned that the deepest kind of satisfaction doesnโt always come from chasing what you want.
It comes from helping others get what they need.
From showing up for people.
From seeing a gap and choosing to fill it.
From lifting someone, even when youโre waiting for your own breakthrough.

There are moments in life where fear creeps in, and sometimes this fear is baselessโฆ sometimes itโs just fear of the unknown.
Then come the whispers of self-doubt, and the moments when you stop believing in yourself, in your abilities, in what you bring to the table. And as if thatโs not enough, comparison steps in making it feel like everyone else is ahead while youโre stuck figuring things out.
Soโฆ last week, I promised to share what happened when an unexpected opportunity knocked on my doorโor rather, slid into my inboxโthanks to the blog I had started way back in 2011.
If youโve been following the last few #StorySaturday posts, then youโll remember the journey that started with a keynote in 2017 and led me to Heritage Insurance Company โ and ultimately to the beginning of a book club. Now, that book club might have seemed like just another client activity, but in hindsight, it would quietly open doors I didnโt even know existed.

After writing todayโs #StorySaturday post about how one act of obedience turned into a life-changing connection, I knew exactly which book needed to be this weekโs recommendation.
Last week, I missed our usual #StorySaturday. Life was a bit full, and by the time I remembered on Mondayโฆ well, Saturday had already passed me by. So, here I amโback, and picking up from where we left off.
If you remember, I shared how a simple act of sitting quietly in a cafรฉ reading a book led to an unexpected conversationโฆ and that conversation opened the door to a whole new world I hadn't planned for. (If you missed that post, you might want to scroll back and catch up ๐)
