Arrogance, Over-confidence or Complacency?

Over a week ago, I remember seeing a highly confident group of #TeamKenya athletes at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, about to take off for the London Olympics. In fact, they were so over optimistic that when asked, the national coach confidently (almost to the point of sounding arrogant) stated that his team was so ready that this time round, there would be more than 10 gold medals and three times the total of medals to be expected by Kenya.

When things go as unplanned

Life has a way of throwing surprises at us when we least expect them; but then again that's why they are called surprises, right? Some of them leave us on top of the moon while others leave us rock bottom. Either way, I can bet my last dime that we have all passed through these surprises at one time or another in our lives. For instance, today I was in the office working on a document when suddenly the application I was using just shut down, erasing everything I had been working on for several hours.

Promoting Social or Anti-Social Behavior?

What really happened? When did the paradigm shift occur? And what is going to happen next? These are some of the questions going through my mind as I try to recall how it all started …. Let’s travel down memory lane together.

A Random Act of Kindness from a Dog!

Not all days are the same and whether you want to believe it or not, even I have my moments of feeling low… I’m human after all, ain’t I? And Thursday the 12th of July was such a day….You see, the previous morning my gym instructor SAS had taken me through a killer program and needless to say, when I woke up on Thursday morning my entire body was screaming at me to the point of feeling feverish, but I still had to go to the gym…. Yep, I know; No pain, no gain….. :-(

Words & Bullets; What they have in common

"Ng'ombe wewe"....... "Muone, anatembea kama bata" ........ "Kichwa ngumu tu kama baba yake" ..........."You are just a useless human being" ....... "another poor excuse of a human being" ..... etc etc

Rich or Poor?

I don't know who it is who said this but I remember reading somewhere that "Two people can look at the same exact thing and have two totally different perspectives ......". Well, I don't know about you, but this story here seems to have captured this quote to the letter.

Campaign Trail or Campaign Fail?

I am no Mutahi Ngunyi the very vocal Kenyan political analyst but when I look at the campaign trails we are being subjected to on a daily basis, I think its a total fail. In my opinion, the campaigners seem to have missed the point totally.
