Don't Give in to Fear

Thorns or Roses?

So it’s the rainy season again, at least in Dar Es Salaam anyway, and with the rainy season comes all manner of mixed emotions. Some love the rain especially when it rains at night because it somehow soothes them to sleep, while others (like me) dislike it when it rains at night because it terrifies me.

The Power of Words

Relationships are hard. It doesn't matter whether it is a relationship between two siblings, between two workmates, between a supplier and a client, between a doctor and a patient, mother and child or a couple. Fact is, as long as it is a relationship involving people, there will always be friction once in a while because naturally human beings are complicated.

Bittering or Bettering

I have watched this movie close to ten times, and even though it was released over a decade and a half ago, I have to admit that Air Force One is one of the best movies I’ve ever watched. It grips you from beginning to end, and even after its over and the credits are scrolling on the screen, the tension you just experienced in the movie makes you feel like something might just happen in between the credits. If you’ve never watched the movie, you need to go look for it today and watch it.

Letting Go

About five years ago, I had a project I was working on and owing to the nature of the project, I needed full concentration, no interruptions and a very stable internet connection. Luckily, I used to work for an ISP (Internet Service Provider) and so, internet was not a problem. However, interruptions (phone, email, walk-ins, etc) were the order of the day and so, working on my project during the day or even during the weekends was not a very viable option.
