๐ #SaturdayShelfie (on a Sunday!): Book 10 โ The Emotionally Exhausted Woman by Nancy Colier
First, let me start with an apologyโI know I was supposed to post this yesterday, but I wasnโt feeling well. For the past few weeks, Iโve been unwell, and after a change of meds on Friday, letโs just say Iโve been sleeping like a well-fed cat in the sun.
That said, I couldnโt have chosen a better book for this week, especially as the world celebrated International Womenโs Day yesterday.
So many womenโwhether at work, at home, or in their communitiesโcarry everything on their shoulders. The expectations, the emotional labor, the invisible load. They show up, hold things together, and keep going even when theyโre running on empty. This book is for every woman whoโs ever felt emotionally drained, stretched too thin, or just plain exhausted.
As a woman, why should you read this book?
โ๏ธ To understand that you donโt have to do it all.
โ๏ธ To set healthy emotional boundaries.
โ๏ธ To learn how to reclaim your energy and peace.
And to all men, here is why you too should read the book:
โ๏ธ To understand the unseen emotional burdens that many women carry daily.
โ๏ธ To be more supportive partners, colleagues, and friends.
โ๏ธ To help create environmentsโat home and workโwhere women donโt feel like they have to carry everything alone.
To my fellow women, if youโve ever felt like youโre constantly giving but rarely refilling your own cup, this book is for you. Letโs read it, reflect, and maybeโjust maybeโlearn how to rest without guilt.
