More work less words

I’m yet to see a mediocre person who is successful. It’s kinda like saying one can be awake and asleep at the same time; actually wrong example - some people do; but I’m sure you understand what I mean. I like what the late Margaret Thatcher said on the issue of Success. To quote her:

“What is success? I think it is a mixture of having a flair for the thing that you are doing; knowing that it is not enough, that you have got to have hard work and a certain sense of purpose.” Note she said HARD WORK, not words.

Many people are stuck in a dead-end kind of life today because they do more talking than they do the work. Words won’t take you anywhere, unless you use them to make money like lawyers, writers or motivational speakers; but then again their work entails putting words into work. So at the end of the day they still work!

Like Thomas A. Edison said, “Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work”. Actually he was wrong; opportunity doesn’t look like work; it is work.

Take a few minutes and evaluate yourself; could you have been doing more with your life than you are doing now? Are you living an average life when you could have been living an extraordinary, noteworthy and fulfilling life? Would you like to change your status quo? If any of these questions has a “yes” as the response, then it is time to change your strategy. Put in more work.

Every area of your life needs to be worked on; work on your relationships; work on your business; work on your performance at work; work on your spirituality; work on your health; work work work work work……but most importantly, Work on yourself and everything else around you will change.
