February 2016

When being deaf pays

As we come to the end of February, I was just looking back at the month that was and I realized that even though it is a 29 day month, this month has literally flown. Lots of the stuff that I expected to accomplish in this month did not happen not because I didn’t initiate the process, but because there were third party inputs that needed to be made for me to accomplish them but unfortunately the 3rd parties did not do what they were supposed to do. All the same, I know in due course everything will come together and I will achieve what I needed to achieve.

Revenge

There are things that happen that leave you baffled while others leave you completely speechless. You don’t know whether to comment, or to scream, or to question…

This was my reaction when I read an extract from a certain social media platform that had given a summary of the murder trial of one Mr. Ronald Opus. I have no idea who Mr. Opus was, why he was murdered and why his story ended up online. I also do not know the authenticity of this story so before any learned friend thinks of suing me, please take note of this disclaimer.

Identity Crisis

The internet is full of funny stuff, things that can cause one to laugh till your ribs hurt like someone gave you a kick. With the emergence of social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, etc., sharing of such stuff has become very easy especially now that almost every other person has a smartphone and internet bundles to compliment the phone. Besides, almost every office and up-market restaurant you go to now has free Wi-Fi.

The Rebirth

February is normally a very special month to me, and before you start thinking its because of Valentine’s day, please be informed that this is not one of the reasons why the month is special. February is special to me because besides being the only month with inconsistent days, it also happens to be the month that I was born in. It also is the month my first born son, my only sister and my Mom were born in.

When you are not sure who you are

Every so often we go through stuff in life, either knowingly or unknowingly, that affect our identity, bringing in lots of insecurity to us. Sometimes we might not even know about them but the moment we become aware of them, then it becomes a problem right there.

Here below I have shared with you two sides of a story that you must have read severally before. Read them to the end and think about the lessons presented in them.
