Read to rid yourself of ignorance and possible embarrassment

It's been a while since I failed you my readers by not submitting an article for this column. Last week this happened and for that I sincerely apologize. I was down with malaria, some strange flu (but not dengue thankfully) and a nasty cough that made my chest sound like a bass drum that's never been tuned. After having my bedroom transformed into a mini pharmacy, I'm glad I'm better.

Focus on your Thoughts

You busy fuming and fretting over what people around you are saying about you? Then you need to read this paraphrased message picked from a T. D. Jakes Sermon....

"Why would you waste your time and energy trying to change what other people think about you, when their thoughts have no bearing on your life? STOP trying to change peoples thoughts and let them think what they want. You don't have time to be a steward over someone else's thoughts. Instead, be a steward of your own thoughts and through them create your own future and destiny...."

Patience Needed

There are times in life when things just don't seem like they are working out for you, times when everything you touch "seems" to go wrong. I say "seems" in quotes because even though things look like they are going terribly wrong, it doesn't always translate to negative results. The thing is, as human beings we want so much to get results as soon as we want them that patience has become a foreign term/word in our vocabulary.
