Team Work

Why is it so hard for human beings to understand the power of working together, aka, TEAMWORK? What joy do people get out of working against each other instead of working together? Further still, why do people tend to get a kick out of bringing other people down?
Relationships are hard. It doesn't matter whether it is a relationship between two siblings, between two workmates, between a supplier and a client, between a doctor and a patient, mother and child or a couple. Fact is, as long as it is a relationship involving people, there will always be friction once in a while because naturally human beings are complicated.
I have watched this movie close to ten times, and even though it was released over a decade and a half ago, I have to admit that Air Force One is one of the best movies I’ve ever watched. It grips you from beginning to end, and even after its over and the credits are scrolling on the screen, the tension you just experienced in the movie makes you feel like something might just happen in between the credits. If you’ve never watched the movie, you need to go look for it today and watch it.
About five years ago, I had a project I was working on and owing to the nature of the project, I needed full concentration, no interruptions and a very stable internet connection. Luckily, I used to work for an ISP (Internet Service Provider) and so, internet was not a problem. However, interruptions (phone, email, walk-ins, etc) were the order of the day and so, working on my project during the day or even during the weekends was not a very viable option.
If people who lived and died over a century ago were to resurrect today, am sure they’d suffer some major culture shock regardless of which part of the world they were in when the exited from it in the first place. One of the things that would shock them most is the realization that people no longer talk to each other but to gadgets.
