Extreme Makeover

If you were to ask me, I think the most challenging job is that of a Brand Manager. Why do I say this? Because this person is responsible for ensuring the brand (s)he is dealing with has the right image at all times; even when it misbehaves. It is their responsibility to ensure that even when the image is at the greatest risk of being tarnished, the brand still stands out. Just to show you what I mean, when I mention Oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, what company comes to your mind? And why did BP come to your mind?

No Pain, No Gain

About  3 months ago I had to come face to face with harsh reality, when I realized I was beginning to “grow” a pot-belly. You know for a woman that is not very good news and so obviously I had to do something about it. I had two options; either to adopt a workable diet or to hit the gym and burn the annoying fat that had crept up on me “unnoticed” (but what did I really expect after I started indulging in chips vumbi???)

It is important to note though that its not just any car that works for me; don’t give me a Toyota Vitz, or a Probox and expect me to enjoy that drive… that will probably stress me more.

I have learned....

Someone once said that you don’t need to be in class for you to learn a thing or two… how true this is! Lessons come our way every single day, regardless of where we are at, or who we are with at that precise moment. Question is, how often do we retain the lessons we learn?

It is with this question in mind that I have decided to write a post consolidating the lessons that have stood out for me especially since the beginning of this year, not just to share them with you but also as a way of ensuring I have documented them for future reference. Here goes ….

How sick and tired are you?

I don't know about you but sometimes life can be so *tiring* for lack of another word to use! However, like I discovered, it is not until you reach a point where you decide "I am sick and tired of being sick and tired" that you make the necessary changes to your life....

One of the greatest motivational speakers of our time, Les Brown, shares with us how you can do this...
